  • Thanks for sending me a nice Christmas card and a parcel, Calvin! See you soon, June 2007!

By the way, I can't believe you got a part time job in Tsuen Wan. Anyway, GOOD LUCK for your work!

Few days later, my mid term exam of Basic Maths is coming la!

  • Next Saturday I got mid term exam of Basic Maths (3 hours) from 2 pm to 5 pm in Clayton Campus.

I do feel nervous about this mid term exam. It is because the standard and level of this exam is not so easy anymore. So, you can say I am so unlucky to take this unit at that moment. Anyway, I will try my best to get the best performance in this exam.

Apart from calculating and doing lots of Maths questions, I also need to pack up all my stuff in my room. Since, tonight I will transfer to another living place. I do hope everything will be alright in the new place.

I just got one good news. Coming this Saturday, I will go climbing with my church friends. Afterwards, we may probably go to have lunch together in a restaurant in Glen Waverly in the afternoon. (High expectation!)

Right now, I have to move and settle all my stuff in the new room immediately. Then, I have to work hard for the mid term exam of Basic Maths.

Therefore, I may seldom renew my xanga / diary. But, I promise I will do type something once a week.

P.S. Looking forward to Calvin's parcel. (Thank you very much, Calvin!)

  • The book of Spencer Johnson's The Present

The Present is a gift you give to yourself.
Only you have the power to discover what it is.

I thought about my youth, and recalled the days when life seemed simpler.

In order to find The Present for myself, think of the times when you were happier, and more effective. Times when you were more focused and felt more successful.

When you are fully engaged in what you are doing your mind doesn't wander. You enjoy life. And you are happier and more effective. You are intent only on what is happening at that moment. And that focus and concentration leads to your success.

The present is not The Past and it is not The Future!
The Present is The Present moment!
    The Present is right now!

Being in The Present means focusing on what is happening right now! It means appreciating the gifts you are offered each day.

Even in the most difficult situations, when you focus on what is right in The Present moment, it makes you happier today. And it gives you the needed energy and confidence to deal with what is wrong.

Pay attention to what is important now.

Appreciate what is right about the situation, and built on it. It is hard to let go of The Past if you have not learned from The Past. As soon as you learn and let go, you improve The Present today.

No one can predict or control The Future. However, the more clearly you imagine what you want to see happen, plan for it. And do something today to help it happen, the less anxious you are in The Present, and the more The Future is known to you.

Living in The Present, and learning from The Past, and helping to create The Future is not all there is. It is only when you work and live with Purpose and respond to what's important about The Present, Past and Future, that it all has meaning.
